On TV again... San Francisco Magician and Variety Entertainer

On November 18th, I'll be taping another television show. After seeing some of my magic, a television producer and friend connected me with someone who host their own television show. When I find out when it airs, I'll be sure to update this post. After seeing some of my magic Marc Potter said, "your magic is light years ahead of other magicians, and you're the Anthony Robbins of magic."

To follow on my blog post regarding the tour of Dreamworks, I'm performing there at Dreamworks on Halloween.

In trying to book event for a repeat customer, I've realized it's difficult to find other good entertainers when I'm already booked up. Most of the good performers are already booked as well. And the ones that aren't booked, aren't booked for a reason... I've heard to many stories of magicians who don't do much magic. To fill the niche and find the best overall value for my clients, I've found three other excellent entertainers for events Greg, Perry and Paul. This is in addition to balloons by Kat and Jeremy. Last year during two months we managed to perform over 85 show all around the Bay Area. After the birth of James, I've been taking more time off to spend with the family and to accommodate increasing corporate and tradeshow request. You can still catch a few public library shows or my November 16th show at the buddy club. With 90% of customers coming back year after year, new customers and referrals still strong as ever, October and December are going to be just as busy this year as it was last year.

Holiday shows are starting to ramp up and this weekend I performed at the Woodside Fire District, fire station. Happy Birthday Mick!

On Monday, I was pleasantly surprised with a last minute gig for the Fang Family, the owners of Asian Week and the Independent. Attending the party were judges, deans from UC Berkeley, representatives from Bejing Da Xue , Jerry Brown, and other politicians.

Next up are gigs are for KRON 4, Stonestown Galleria, Burlingame Fire Department, Olympic Club, Francisca Club, Hitachi, the residence of the French Counsel, Bo Magnussen (of Magnussen Lexus), and even one event on a boat cruise.

Update: Today my nephew Jeremy and I performed at KRON 4's holiday party. It was cool seeing local celebrities like Darya Folsom of the morning news, Stanley Roberts of People Behaving Badly, and Santa aka Henry of Henry's Garden.

A while ago I got an email from Jeff Raz the director of the clown conservatory and current clown touring with the Cirque du Soleil's "Corteo".

"ABC7 and Cirque Du Soleil are running a contest and looking for entries...

Magic Castle Passes - Hollywood Magician - A life long dream fulfilled...

As a magician people ask me if I ever desire to be the next David Copperfield, David Blaine or Criss Angel. To me, trying to become the next so and so would be attempting to imitate. Also as an icon, I would be limited to only performing certain things "in character". I probably would eliminate the bian lian, handstand push-ups with the yo-yo spinning from my mouth or most of my more complicated card tricks. At this point in my career, I'd like to keep it a variety show.

One of the goals I set early on was to perform in the mecca of magic; not Las Vegas, but the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. On September 18th, 2006, I fulfilled a life long dream.

I didn't really know what to expect and was a little nervous even after having over a 1000 performances under my belt. Upon arriving I was pleasantly surprised with what I found on the door: a welcoming "Hollywood Star" with my name on it. I felt like I was a star!

During the course of the week Kat and I would perform 21 shows. (She didn't get her name on a door unfortunately...that is until she's promoted from assistant to partner that is!) We performed the manipulation act, paper balls routine, and also our rope escape. My next goal is to create a routine for both the close-up room and also the parlor.
